Spacebar Speed Test
Timed Spacebar speed test: measure Spacebar CPS with precise timing and local-only history. Default duration is 10 seconds.
Start the test, then press the physical Space key. The timer begins on your first valid press. Results stay on this device. This is not a Spacebar Clicker game or an unlimited counter.
A physical or connected keyboard is required for this test. Touch taps and on-screen keyboards do not produce official Spacebar Test scores.
Choose a duration and start when ready.
Only the physical Space key counts (event.code === "Space"). Enter and other keys are ignored. Release Space before the next press is counted.
How the Spacebar Test works
- Durations: 1, 5, 10, 30, or 60 seconds, plus custom 1–300 seconds.
- Only
event.code === "Space"counts. Auto-repeat keydown is ignored; you must release Space before the next press counts. - Live Spacebar CPS is presses ÷ elapsed seconds so far; the final score uses the full configured duration.
- Peak 1s Spacebar CPS uses the same sliding one-second window formula as the homepage CPS test.
- 1-second mode can run Best of 5 with a short prep between rounds.
- A physical or connected keyboard is required. Mobile touch and virtual keyboards are not used for official scores.
Metric guide
- Spacebar CPS — presses per second over the configured duration.
- Peak 1s — highest count in any sliding one-second window of presses.
- Consistency — how even your press intervals were (higher is steadier).
- Fatigue change — second-half rate vs first-half rate.
