What is a Drag Click Test?

This browser tool measures when trusted primary-mouse presses arrive inside the official area and organizes nearby presses into timed bursts. It reports browser-observed input timing, not a verified drag-clicking technique.

The three test modes

Single Burst measures one Natural Burst. Best of 5 combines five manually started Natural Bursts. 5-second Burst counts accepted primary-mouse presses for one exact five-second window and also identifies its best valid Natural Burst when one exists.

How a Natural Burst is defined

A Natural Burst contains at least two accepted clicks, has positive first-to-last duration, and ends when no accepted click arrives for 500 ms. Touch, pen, keyboard, Space, other buttons, synthetic input, and presses outside the official region are excluded.

Why Burst CPS uses click transitions

Natural Burst CPS is (clickCount - 1) × 1000 / first-to-last durationMs. The measured time contains completed inter-click transitions, not an interval before the first instantaneous click.

The 500 ms idle gap

The idle gap only recognizes that a Natural Burst has ended. Those 500 ms are not added to formal burst duration and therefore do not reduce the reported Natural Burst CPS.

Understanding Single Burst

Arm the region, then create one compact sequence of primary-mouse presses. One click is insufficient, and multiple clicks at the same timestamp have no positive duration; retry either outcome without creating a saved result.

Understanding Best of 5

Each round is a complete Natural Burst with a manual start. An insufficient round retries in place while earlier completed rounds remain. Blur, hidden state, or pagehide discards the entire unfinished series. Only one compact summary is saved after round five.

Understanding 5-second Burst

The fixed mode uses the shared five-second click engine. Its overall CPS is total accepted clicks divided by five seconds. Natural Burst validity is a separate layer: a run can remain a valid fixed result even when it contains no valid multi-click Natural Burst.

What this browser test can measure

ClickMetrik can count trusted primary-mouse presses received inside the official region, measure first-to-last burst duration and adjacent intervals, calculate transition-based Natural Burst CPS, and summarize compact local results.

What it cannot verify

A browser cannot authenticate a physiological drag-click motion, decide whether a technique follows a game's rules, detect cheating or auto-clicking, diagnose hardware, debounce, missed or double clicks, measure device latency, or make hand, muscle, nerve, or medical judgments.

Physical mouse requirements

Formal results require trusted primary-button input from a physical mouse. Mobile visitors can read the methodology and stored summaries, but touch and pen input never start or count toward an official result.

Privacy

Compact results and personal bests stay in this browser. Saved summaries exclude raw pointer events, coordinates, timestamps, samples, interval arrays, and identity data.
